In Anderson County we live in close proximity to the Oconee Nuclear power plant. Though minimal, there is always potential danger from an accident and exposure to radiation.

Anderson County is a "host county" in the event of a nuclear accident at the Oconee Nuclear Station. The entirety of Anderson County is outside of the 10 mile radius that could theoretically be affected in a worst case scenario.
