In Anderson County, we have seen firsthand the destruction and devastation that can be caused by tornadoes. While there have been significant advances in predicting possible tornadoes  we still recommend every household have a NOAA Weather Radio and a plan of action for your family. That plan needs to include your emergency supply kit, a communication plan, and knowing your "safe place" on the lowest level and away from windows, preferably in a small room (closet or bathroom) in the center of the house. When a tornado watch is issued, it is important that you take note and stay aware of weather conditions. It is very important, in a tornado warning, that you act quickly.
